Office Christmas Parties are Fun

During the holiday season, a lot of Christmas party preparations take place, which can be a lot of fun when trying to come up with different party ideas. Christmas is a great time to try different holiday party themes, as the possibilities are almost endless.

One idea is to have a "wrap a gift for Christmas" party. This involves having everyone bring a bunch of presents to one location and start wrapping. Normally, everyone brings their own wrapping paper, etc.; however, if you are hosting the party, then it is always a good idea to have extra paper, along with lots of bows, ribbons, tape, scissors and whatever else may be needed. You may also want to include refreshments. It does not have to be much, just some finger foods and drinks. You can decide to wrap all of your gifts at one time or perhaps go to different locations on different days.

Anything that can make the holidays a little calmer is a great help. If you would normally bake cookies or other goodies, either as desserts or gifts, then you can send out a Christmas party invitation to each of your friends inviting them to your house for a cookie baking and decorating party. This is one of those really great and fun party ideas where the guests can bring their favorite Christmas cookie recipe and the necessary ingredients to your house to get a head start on their holiday baking. Be sure to include the kids by having them decorate one batch of cookies while you and your friends get another one ready to bake.

Another good decorating Christmas party idea is to deck the outside of your home. This could be a great neighborhood party idea, especially if there is an elderly or disabled person in the neighborhood who really needs help with stringing the lights and hanging decorations. This type of party would not make them feel like they were accepting charity, as everyone would be helping everyone else. Even those who do not normally decorate may suddenly feel the urge or perhaps they would be willing to set up a hot chocolate table outside so that everyone could get warmed up.

Keep in mind that your holiday party ideas can be as diverse as you want them to be. For instance, it does not have to be centered on any one religion; it can be two or several. Start by including that friend or family who did not receive an invitation last year because you thought they may be a little uncomfortable since they celebrate Hanukkah. You do not have to go way out of your way, just include a few small touches, such as a traditional Jewish food like sufgani, or jelly doughnuts. If children will be there perhaps you can have little gift bags with toys and candy, such as gelt and dreidels.
