Thank GM because all of the 2010 Manual Corvettes have launch control. I can’t wait to see the new numbers for the Z06 and ZR1. Hell, the base Corvette is now down to 3.9-4.0 which is really quick.

for the people who want to know what happens in this video : it is a cold winter day , the track is probably very close to freezing temperature, the Corvette doesn’t have Launch Control, the GT2 has Launch Control, more HP, more torque and more traction because of the engine in the back. on normal conditions the cars would be closer , but not on cold weather or wet surfaces.
The 0-60 time of the ‘vette is about 1 full second slower than it should be. Add in the granny shifting, and it’s easy to see why the porsche pulls so far ahead. The gaps are ridiculous considering in real testing they would be very close at the quarter mile mark. Is he running the vette with the fucking e-brake engaged? The bias in their testing is quite obvious, and their results are garbage because of it. This is NOT a good comparison by any means.

the syncros for second gear didnt line up which is why you hear the grinding sound when he shifts in the corvette.

Someone needs to study the concept of budget constraints. The Z06 is comparable to the GT2 in terms of performance at less than half the cost. How can you not respect that? Of course the cheapest Porsche is nicer than the cheapest Chevy. The Boxster is nearly $50k! Entry Chevy vehicles start at $12k.
