What do you look for when looking at cars for sale ?
So many of us are impulsive car buyers. Instead of making a list of what we want in a car and then go out looking where we can find what we are looking for, we walk into a showroom and buy on emotion. They say it is much like the difference between a man and a woman doing grocery shopping. Now men will not want to hear this, but statistics show beyond the shadow of a doubt that women are the ones who food shop according to their list. It is men that are the impulsive and guilty parties when shopping for food, and exactly the same thing happens when looking at cars for sale.
So, if you were a man, and one of the above minority, what would you be looking for ? Try to think what you would have on your list ? let's look at a few possibilities.
Functionality:
This should be high on your list. A car should surely be practical and functional for the purpose it is bought. A family would not want to buy a 2 door sports car. A delivery vehicle rather than a sedan would be appropriate for someone needing to transport goods.
Economy:
While there is excitement in listening to the roar of 6 cylinders, it sure does not go a long way to keeping your budget balancing. A smaller vehicle or engine will reduce your fuel consumption considerably, saving you a lot of money.
Durability or longevity:
Without trashing brand names, there are some cars that just seem to outlast others. I am sure everyone knows of those age old models still to be sen on our streets today. There are then also those cars which just do not seem to last ?
Appearance
Now this is what the emotional people will be looking for - the impulsive buyers. Is it sleek, racy, sexy ? Does the colour attract ? How do the lines look ?
Performance
Essentially this is also what the impulsive buyer looks for. Performance is essentially practical, yet some view it as being that racy "x" factor to be the best speedster on the highway.
The question you should be asking yourself however is - when I look at cars for sale - what do I look for ?
